Exclusive B and B offers

Earlier this year, we put up an offer for bed and breakfast breaks at our guest house in Bowness-on-Windermere which gave 50% off our tariff for a third night’s stay. Prices would be based on our higher standard rates. This fantastic deal finished on 19th July; however, in conjunction with English Inns, a similar offer is now again available at www.english-inns.co.uk/NorthWest.htm. More information about this offer is displayed below.

Stay 2 Nights, Get 3rd Night at Half-Price

Book 2 nights B&B at our higher standard rates, and receive 50% discount on the third night’s stay.

Offer may be applied to midweek stays during August and September, but not at weekends.

In general, this offer excludes public holiday weekends/dates and cannot be combined with other discount offers.

This bed and breakfast discount is immediately available for summer holiday breaks. However, guests will need to telephone or email Blenheim Lodge to take advantage of this special offer as it is not available via online bookings.

This is the first time we have worked with English Inns to offer an exclusive deal. However, we have also been working with two local attractions since early this year to offer our guests exclusive discounts with them. These are Windermere Lake Cruises and Dove Cottage.

Windermere Lake Cruises operates a variety of ferry cruises which range from simple one-way destination tickets to summer dinner cruises and sunset sails. A jazz band performs on the latter. At Blenheim Lodge, we are able to offer our guests a 10% discount off the single ride tickets.

Dove Cottage was the former home of William Wordsworth, and the cottage remains very much true to its character during the poet’s period of residence. In the garden, one can see the trees and shrubs that Wordsworth planted. He was an avid gardener and rambler; and his appreciation of the beauties of nature is reflected in his works. Guests staying at Blenheim Lodge who wish to visit Wordsworth’s home should ask for a £1 discount voucher.

Besides these exclusive offers, the Blenheim Lodge website also lists a number of other great discounted deals on its Special Offers page: http://www.blenheim-lodge.com/special_offers.php. Some of these offers may be combined with each other, but some may not. Please phone or email us to ask if you would like further clarification on any point.

Our online booking link leads to an external agent’s website which offer rates that can go up or down. At present, there are some good deals to be had on the agent’s website, with our lowest price being £40 per person per night for bed and breakfast. This tariff pertains to The Poppies room, a small ground floor double room with north Lake Windermere views and a nice walk-in shower en-suite.

As an addendum, I would like to add that all our guests will enjoy the same facilities whether they are paying for a higher-priced room or a lower-priced room. These facilities include rooms with views (10 have lake views and one has a woodland view); breakfast; FREE country club membership; FREE fishing permits on a first come first served basis; FREE on-site private car park; and an inviting guest lounge. All the rooms have hospitality trays and flat screen televisions, as well as en-suite or private facilities.

We look forward to welcoming many new faces to our guest house this summer to enjoy our gorgeous Lakeland scenery and attractions. The flora and fauna in this picturesque part of the world, the stunning landscapes, and the soft beauty of the Lakes have inspired many works of art and literature over the centuries. With the help of conservation bodies such as the Lake District National Park, those of us who live in the Lake District hope that the incredible loveliness of the English Lakes will continue unblemished for the enjoyment of generations to come.
