Good weather in the west!

The east of Britain often tends to have better weather than the west. Or at least that is what I have always believed. Well, imagine my surprise when I read in the news that we would be having better weather in the west this latter end of August. And – guess what? – the weather forecasters were correct!

We have been enjoying some simply splendid sunshine and warmth here in the Lake District. The close heat of mid-summer has disappeared, for which I am extremely thankful, so that now the weather is what one might call, just nice. A little like Baby Bear’s porridge in the story of The Three Bears!

So, here are some good weather photos to share with you of the Lakes. Why not come and join us here? Our hope is that this extension to lovely summer weather will last!
