I was serving one of our guests today at breakfast time, and happened to notice a beautiful ruby and diamond eternity ring on her finger. Her husband had given it to her which put me in mind to write about a romantic break. Since New Year is around the corner, I have just written a post on our other blog regarding a romantic New Year break:
This couple had visited us twice before and this was their third visit. As usual, it was really nice to see them. They had come away for a romantic weekend and were staying in one of our four-poster bedrooms, The Coniston. It was a room they knew as they had stayed in it in the past.
When I was writing about a romantic New Year break, I thought about the types of rooms other couples who have visited us have preferred. Some, like the couple above, prefer an overtly romantic bed, such as a four-poster. Others, like a honeymooning couple who visited us in Autumn, are adamant that they would prefer not to have a canopy over their heads. In fact, this couple had booked a four-poster with us without realising it – photos of the room and confirmation of their booking that they had chosen a four-poster notwithstanding. They told us that they had done everything in a hurry on their mobile phone and so had not paid much attention. Thankfully, when they arrived, we were able to swop them to a room without a canopy. To this end, therefore, have I written about the availability of our rooms with and without four-poster beds for a romantic getaway.
I hope you enjoy reading the linked post. If you are looking for a New Year break, do contact us. We are open!
