It is coming to the weekend and we have some accommodation available for last minute bookings for this May Bank Holiday long weekend. If anyone is looking for a room with views and a nice little break over the weekend, do please get in touch. And if romance is in the air, how about a four-poster bedroom with fabulous views?
Alternatively, if rural country views are preferable, we have one room that offers this serene outlook.
One may ask what there is to see and do in the Lakes during a weekend especially when there is a public holiday involved. Well, there is absolutely lots to see and do and enjoy. And remember, everything will be open! For example, why not explore hidden footpaths around Lake Windermere? Do take a look here to see what I mean: http://www.blenheim-lodge.com/blog/2016/05/22/cosy-coves-and-fabulous-views/. Alternatively, how about checking out local places of interest? There are lots of tiny and not so tiny hamlets and villages to discover around the Lakes – and all are easily accessible from Bowness. Perhaps visit the one-time home of one of Britain’s Poet Laureates? Dove Cottage in Grasmere is a joy to visit.
Are you active or adventurous? What about experiencing the Via Ferrata?
If that is too stomach-churning for you, then maybe a sedate walk around one of the Lake District’s prettiest tarns might be just the thing. The scene below of a couple enjoying the peace and quiet at Loughrigg fell could be you!
There is so much to see and do in the Lakes that there is not enough room in this post to enumerate them. However, I do hope that this post will give you a flavour of what to expect in the Lake District National Park.
Blenheim Lodge . . . panoramic Lake views, peace and tranquillity, nestled against acres of beautiful fields and woodlands, in the heart of the English Lake District National Park.’
