Videos

One of the joys of owning a mobile phone is the ability to take videos. In the past, I have tried to upload videos on this platform, but to no avail, as the amount of footage was too high. Thus, the footage has been going onto our Facebook page instead. One of the latest videos I took was a very short one. It is of the cutest little Triumph classic car which its owners had very cleverly outfitted with a portable umbrella to hold off any rain! I have included a photo below of this dinky roadster on our drive. However, do take a look at our Facebook page to see the video of how the gentleman fits the umbrella onto his car.

Some of you may know that I do love the look, feel, and smell of many classic cars. I am not handy with a wrench nor knowledgeable about engines. I simply like looking at these old cars, and appreciating the painstaking handwork that went into building them. I love the fact that they are so full of character and built to last. Their leather seats and polished woodwork takes them into a class of their own. They look unique, and one can tell their marques as soon as one looks at them even if one isn’t a car aficionado. Nowadays, so many cars tend to look alike, and even the expensive marques tend to look rather like their cheaper counterparts from a distance. (At least, I cannot tell the difference – but then I am emphatically NOT an expert.)

The past weekend saw a huge number of vintage cars in the Lakes. We welcomed back to our guest house two vintage car drivers and welcomed for the first time the couple in the photo who were also visiting the Lakes for its vintage car relay. Hope you enjoyed looking at the photo above and that it raised a smile. So sweet!
