We went walking up Queen Adelaide’s Hill yesterday. It’s a small fell only 5 minutes from our Bowness guest house, Blenheim Lodge. The hillside was full of sheep, so we kept strictly to the footpath.
Up and up we went.
When we reached the top, we could see a number of far-off fells and parts of Lake Windermere. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take a good photo of the view . . . and, actually, I think that the views from our house are much better. We were really quite high up, in fact, we could see the topmost tip of Blenheim Lodge from the top of the fell!
On the way back, we decided to take a route through the Rayrigg Meadow and Millerground fields. These were full of sheep too! Hence the title of this post: ‘Spot the dog!’ (He is the colour of many of the local sheep.)
Hope you have enjoyed this post!
