New cases!

Further to one of my previous posts about buying covers for my new technological gadgets, I am now writing to report that I have finally purchased them! I feel relieved that I now have at least two of the items in my grubby paws, and am simply awaiting the arrival of the next couple of items. So, what did I purchase?

As the grateful owner of a new iPhone SE, I have now an equally grateful iPhone SE that is probably thankful for the protection that it currently sports: a clear case from Ringke and a Tech Armour glass screen. I say that I am a ‘grateful’ owner of the iPhone SE because my in-laws had bought it for me. There was nothing the matter with my previous mobile phone except for the fact that it did not have enough memory, and I needed one that had a larger memory bank because I take photos with the phone to help market our guest house. And, here, is one of the photos I took a couple of days ago with my new iPhone SE.

This walk, The Dales Way, is right behind Blenheim Lodge, our Bed and Breakfast in Bowness on Windermere.

This is one of the farm gates on Brant Fell, on which Blenheim Lodge B&B is situated. The farmer farms sheep and cows, and, particularly during lambing season, it is imperative that dogs are kept under control. Zack, the white teddy bear in this photo, is always walked on a lead. We met this lady and her labrador puppy whilst walking this beautiful fell.

Hubby and Zack walk through a field full of ewes and their young on Brant Fell, a most wonderful place to stroll, walk, climb, jog or run for fun and exercise.

Zack, however, is like Monty, one of our previous Pyrenean Mountain Dog rescues: he is rather partial to sheep droppings! Yuk! I have put up a video here on our Instagram page if you wish to take a look at him nosing the stuff! (Do take a look at our other photos on Instagram too, and like them if you do!) Thankfully, nothing untoward has happened to him health-wise with all that ingestion of sheep poo! Monty used to slurp it up as well, and he never got sick from it. All I can say is this: I am thankful that the poo was dry!

I began this post by writing about my cases. I am hopeful that my new Macbook Air case will arrive next week sometime. It and the screen protector will be coming to us from the States, and they have both cost me a pretty penny. Let’s hope they do the job of protecting my laptop well! Reviews have been mixed when I was researching cases for both the iPhone and Macbook. The latter, in particular, had problems with cracking and scratching of people’s devices. I am hoping that mine will not prove troublesome!

Spring is well and truly here in the Lakes now, and I hope that these photos will have given my readers an idea of just how gorgeous this region is. If you have the time and inclination to holiday in the Lake District National Park, do contact us for a break at our AA 4-Star Bed and Breakfast in Bowness-on-Windermere. Our Bowness guest house is right in the heart of the National Park (as you can see from the photos here) and all our guest rooms have views either to Lake Windermere or Brant Fell. We have late availability and May Public Bank Holiday offers. Contact us for details or to book: we’d be delighted to welcome you!

On our doorstep! This is Lake Windermere with the fells in the background.

‘Blenheim Lodge . . . panoramic Lake views, peace and tranquillity, nestled against acres of beautiful fields and woodlands, in the heart of the English Lake District National Park.’
